can i use aquarium salt to treat finrot?

i think my betta has a bit of fin rot. it only seems to be affecting his tail fin, as his other fins are fine. if i cant use the salt what medication is safe for plants (i dont want to take all the plants out)
his water is fine. and he lives in a 10 gallon tank with a heater filter and lots of plants

Aquarium salt will help, no doubt, but there’s no guarantee it will wipe out the infection entirely. It’s a good idea to treat with the salt, but the bacteria that remain will still need to be dealt with. When you make your next trip to the LFS, look for an anti-bacterial remedy and just make sure you select a plant safe variety. It’s really that simple.
