Large Pellet
My bird just laid three eggs, is it normal to have large droppings and burnt orange poop with orange liquid? ?
Alexandrine parrot just turned 2yrs. On pellet diet but normally green poop before egg laying. Also eats and drinks normal. Also provide fresh veggies and vitamins.
Does not sound normal to me (the poop colour, i mean – large poos are expected after egg laying, i believe). Our budgies have a red pedi-perch which they nibble and it turns their poos a reddish-brown colour.
If your alexandrine does not have a red vitamin block or similar, i would definitely take her to an avian vet to be sure she is not sick/internally bleeding (the sooner the better).
