Is a 240gph powerhead good enough for a 20 gallon saltwater tank?

Just curious cause it doesn’t seem very powerful. How should I angle it in the tank for the best water movement?

where you point it is not all that important as long as it is agitating the water surface. A well agitated surface will allow for better oxygen levels and also will assist in flow.

As far as the amount of flow, it will depend on what you are keeping. With just fish 10 to 20 times tank size is fine. For coral you want somewhere in the 40-50 times tank size .
