I’m looking for more environmentally friendly ways to kills exotic invasive fire ants.?

I have found two ways to kill fire ant nests without harming the environment.
1) Simply just keep bothering the nest day after day and they will move. After a couple moves the nest wastes to much time moving and not on babies and the nest dies.
2) I read in the Foxfire books the urine will kill the nest. So I save my urine in old water bottles and when I save up enough I put is directly on the nests. Often this kills the nest the first time, but sometimes I have to treat the nest for two or three days.

Using these two methods I have killed every fire ant nest in my 5 1/2 acre property all without hurting any native ant species. And both methods are FREE.

Get some Brazilian Phorid Flies. They set these out in my county and I haven’t seen one fire ant mound this year! I don’t know if it’s the weather or these voracious flies!
